Cheney parks report aquatics hiring push and early-bird pass sales

Parks staff told the Cheney Park Board on Feb. 11 that the department is actively recruiting for aquatics positions and has seen early interest in season passes.
"We are interviewing 4 applicants this Friday for our aquatic’s supervisor position," Dan Curley reported, adding that staff have four head-lifeguard applications and 24 lifeguard applications to review. Curley showed donor plaques planned for display at the pool and said the department has sold 39 family passes during an early-bird sale.
No hiring decisions were recorded in the minutes; staff indicated the application reviews would occur over the next one to two weeks.
