The motion to install Magana was moved by Elizabeth Cabrera and seconded by Jennifer Gutierrez; a roll-call vote recorded four 'aye' votes from the members present and the motion carried.
The board also elected Jennifer Gutierrez as Vice President and Elizabeth Cabrera as Clerk using the same roll-call process; each motion passed with the four members attending voting 'aye'. The board appointed Carlos Cerdan as the voting representative to the Los Angeles County Committee on School District Organization and to the Los Angeles County School Trustees Association, with Jennifer Gutierrez and Elizabeth Cabrera named as alternate representatives in the respective motions. All named appointments passed by the members present. The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Jan. 21, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
