Center ISD SHAC reviews health programs, schedules clinics and approves minutes

At its Sept. 18 meeting, the Center Independent School District School Health Advisory Council approved the previous minutes, reviewed wellness and prevention programs, heard a telehealth presentation and set dates for fall flu and well-child clinics.
The Center Independent School District School Health Advisory Council met Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, and approved the previous meeting minutes as presented. Chair Jennifer Jones called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m.; the meeting adjourned at 9:40 a.m.
Members reviewed ongoing health initiatives across district campuses, including suicide-prevention activities, the districts wellness policy, upcoming faculty and student flu clinics, and a presentation on Goodside telehealth services. Several items will return to the committee for follow-up, and meeting dates for the remainder of the school year were added to members' calendars.
