Superintendent reports district goals on track but facilities project lagging

Superintendent Dr. Meyer delivered the district update at the April 16 meeting, reviewing progress toward district goals and recent grant activity.
Dr. Meyer said the district is on track for goals relating to ELA performance and staffing/onboarding but that the facilities project is behind schedule and showed red on the progress slide. "This is one of the meetings where we do a progress report toward our district goals... the only slide with a little bit of red," he said, and added the district will continue to update the board as more information becomes available.
He also noted recent grant submissions and short turnaround times for some proposals and gave credit to administrative staff for progress on hiring and mentoring programs. No immediate decisions about the facilities project were taken at the meeting; Dr. Meyer said he would provide more detailed reports in June.
