Center ISD Board certifies Nov. 5 school board election, names Burns, Lout, Ragan and Miller winners

Board members Deuce Wulf and Greg Hubbard canvassed the vote totals and presented results for the regular election showing Colton Belrose 676 votes; Josh Burns 1,053; Phil Calvert 322; Brian Horton 867; Kris Kirby 495; Kevin Link 604; Casey Lout 1,372; Jason Mitchell 874; and James Ragan 1,056. In the special election, Robby Dubea received 981 votes and Cody Miller received 1,771 votes. Greg Hubbard moved, seconded by Deuce Wulf, "to certify the canvassing report as correct and declared Josh Burns, Casey Lout and James Ragan elected to the Board of Trustees of Center ISD for four‑year terms and Cody Miller elected to the Board of Trustees of Center ISD for a two‑year unexpired term." The motion carried 2-0.
The certification fills multiple seats on the Center ISD Board of Trustees: Burns, Lout and Ragan for regular four‑year terms and Miller for an unexpired two‑year term. The meeting record shows the motion was approved by the two trustees present; five trustees were listed as absent. The board did not record any public comments during the special meeting.
