CVES says pooled management services saved Boquet Valley hundreds of thousands

Hayden Rudy, central business officer, described the central business office that provides payroll, purchasing and treasurer functions and said the pooled model allows districts to avoid hiring a full business office at roughly the same cost.
Joe Cokley, CVES director of labor relations, and Vicky Giroux, benefits director, detailed services that support negotiations, certification, benefits administration and the consortium health plan. CVES highlighted the Nourish cafeteria program, which it said "serves over 5,500 students daily," and noted that all participating schools met a New York State 30 percent local‑food initiative, making them eligible for additional reimbursement.
Board members asked for examples and local breakdowns of net cost. CVES said detailed line items and fact sheets were provided to the board for review and that staff would answer follow‑up questions by email if requested.
