Under the consent agenda the BOQUET VALLEY CSD board approved a host-community agreement consenting to an amended and restated PILOT agreement for a Champlain High-capacity Power Exchange (CHPE) project and also renewed a district group vision-care plan through Jan. 1, 2028. Superintendent Dr. Meyer described the host-community agreement as carrying a total payment stream of roughly $11.27 million spread over 30 years in the region, with distributions beginning in the 2026–27 school year.
Board members asked whether payments were flat across the 30-year term; administration said the schedule is not flat — it starts smaller and grows, with later years substantially larger. The board approved the consent-agenda items by voice vote; specific payment allocations to the district were not itemized in open session.
