Council OKs $32,000 in lodging-tax support for three winter sports events

Each funding motion passed unanimously. "Motion by Councilmember Johnson authorizing Mayor Crawford to execute an agreement with Wenatchee Valley Sports Foundation for an amount not to exceed $20,000 for the Special Olympics WA State Winter Games as recommended by the East Wenatchee Events Board," the minutes record. The minutes do not include detailed grant agreements, budget line items, or reporting requirements; they record only the authorized maximum amounts and recipients.
