Chester ISD board accepts trustee resignation, appoints Bryan Martin

Wade Read, board president, called the Chester Independent School District Board of Trustees meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 20, 2025, in the Chester ISD Library. During the meeting, Shawna Neal moved to accept the resignation of trustee Calvin Bittick; Sam Handley seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
Josh Clarke then moved to appoint Bryan Martin to fill the vacancy on the Chester ISD Board of Trustees until the next trustee election. Timber Wright seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to appoint Martin. The acceptance of the resignation and the appointment were recorded in the meeting minutes and reflected as formal motions approved by the full board.
