Graves summarized the district's three-part budget structure — program, administrative and capital — and said the capital portion is somewhat larger than typical because of debt the district is taking on. He also outlined two ballot propositions the district expects voters to consider, including a proposal to purchase seven diesel buses and a second proposition related to board seats. "The buses were looking to purchase 7 diesel buses," he said, and emphasized that the proposition specifies diesel rather than electric vehicles. Graves noted a contingency amount "about $350,000" in the budget and described efforts to reduce use of fund balance amid tight finances.
