Staff (S5/Samantha) told the committee that the master plan requires environmental review and that proposals for the CEQA consultant were just returned. "I'm hoping I just got proposals back last week, so we're hoping to look at a contract award within the next 2 to 3 weeks, and they'll hit the ground running," Samantha said.
She added the environmental consultant phase could take 12–14 weeks and will include public outreach to neighbors about changes such as the driving range layout and mitigation options (for example, recommending limited-flight balls or taller netting if needed). The timeline staff presented aims for council adoption of the master plan in December or, if necessary, at the council's first meeting in January.
