Morgan Hill Unified expands CTE pathways and dual-enrollment opportunities

Superintendent Carmen García highlighted significant growth in the district's career and technical education (CTE) and dual-enrollment offerings. "Nuestro programa de educación de carrera y técnica, o CTE, que continúa expandiéndose a través de más de 25 vías CTE en nuestras escuelas secundarias," she said, and added that the district has strengthened dual enrollment with "8 cursos nuevos, lo que permite que más de 600 estudiantes este año obtengan créditos universitarios mientras aún están en la preparatoria."
García listed a range of fields served by those programs, including computer science, construction management, arts, culinary arts, veterinary sciences, 3D design and agriculture. She portrayed the expansions as concrete steps to increase students' options and readiness for college and careers.
