The Christoval Independent School District Board of Trustees voted Thursday to approve term and probationary contracts for secondary and elementary staff, the board said after reconvening from executive session.
Mr. Jared Green moved to approve the contracts and Mrs. Jana Aguirre seconded; the motion passed 6–0. The approvals came after the board met in executive session to discuss personnel and legal matters, and trustees reconvened in open session at 7:49 p.m. The action finalizes staffing decisions for the coming school year.
Superintendent Clint Askins had presented staffing updates earlier in the meeting and noted there were 40 job applicants this year, an increase over prior years. Trustees asked questions of principals and the business manager before voting to confirm the contracts.
