Eustace Independent School District trustees on July 20 voted to accept a winning bid from Amegy Bank and adopted a resolution authorizing the issuance of Maintenance Tax Notes, Series 2026, and approved budget amendments for the 2026 fiscal year.
Katie McCallister moved to "accept the winning bid submitted by Amegy Bank and Adopt the Resolution Authorizing the Issuance of Maintenance Tax Notes, Series 2026," a motion seconded by Blake Ward and approved unanimously by trustees Scot Bonner, Katie McCallister, Ben Lane, Shane Carter and Blake Ward. Earlier in the meeting the board approved budget amendments after a motion by McCallister, also carried by unanimous vote.
The board discussed the proposed tax rate during the meeting but did not record a vote to set or adopt a new rate. The district recorded the financing action and the budget amendments in the minutes; the resolution and amendments will be reflected in the district's official financial records and in the minutes for this meeting.
The meeting opened at 6:30 p.m., moved into closed session at 6:38 p.m., reconvened at 7:19 p.m., and adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
