The Flour Bluff ISD Board of Trustees approved multiple capital projects funded by Bond 2025 at its April 30 meeting, voting unanimously on a slate of contracts and purchases for athletic facilities, infrastructure and systems upgrades.
Trustees approved a Buy Board cooperative proposal from Musco Sports Lighting for Hornet Stadium lighting at $573,000 and a Daktronics scoreboard purchase for $786,120. The Board also authorized Stridde Callins to design a new central plant for $742,500 and approved commissioning services from Cleary Zimmerman for $320,995.00. Several fire alarm and lighting upgrades and a contract amendment to add an ECC parking lot were also approved as part of Bond 2025 work. All motions on Bond items carried, 7-0.
Board members and staff characterized the approvals as routine capital maintenance and safety investments following bond planning. The actions were presented by district staff (presenters listed on the agenda) and approved in open session; the minutes record each motion and the 7-0 votes.
