The council voted May 5 to publish Ordinance 584 for a public hearing on May 19 to add 'no parking' on the north side of 235th Street along the Sports Complex. Kuester said the change is tied to planned ditching to improve drainage and to reduce the risk of children crossing the gravel road in front of traffic; Kuester moved and Rasmussen seconded publication and the motion carried five ayes.
Council discussed working with the soccer program to move fields and encouraging spectators to use two designated Sports Complex parking lots (one west, one north across the Pioneer Nature Trail). The ordinance publication begins the formal public-notice process and gives residents a chance to comment at the May 19 hearing.
