Superintendent Carmen García opened the district remarks by saying the new school year had a strong beginning and praised the mood across schools. "El año escolar 20 24, 20 25 ha tenido un gran comienzo, lleno de entusiasmo y energía renovados en cada una de nuestras escuelas," she said.
García framed the start of the year as a moment to build momentum and singled out classroom attendance as central to that effort. "La asistencia regular es clave para un entorno de aprendizaje exitoso," she said, adding that recovery work cannot fully replace the learning that happens each day in class. She thanked teachers, staff, students and administrators for their work and called on families to support consistent attendance as the district implements its student-support systems.
García closed by expressing optimism for the year ahead and asking the community to sustain its collaboration: "Vamos a mantener el impulso."
