The Hancock County Board held a bid opening for the Soil & Water spray contract on March 10. Assistant Clerk Alec Helms confirmed the mailroom had no additional bids and reported two submitted bids: Champion Lawn Service for $97,063.79 and Right of Way Management for $84,028.85. Commissioner Jeffrey Hunker said the bids would be taken under advisement.
Jason Althouse, present at the opening, confirmed he can provide a recommendation by next week and Cindy Land said the board would place a resolution to award the contract on the agenda for the following Thursday. No award was made at the meeting; staff will evaluate bids and return with a recommendation and proposed resolution.
