The board considered limiting public hours (for example, daytime hours for camp and events), adding signage, cameras and locking the facility outside of set hours. Supporters noted the cabin is frequently used at events and that grandparents and parents routinely ask to use a bathroom during the day.
Trustees agreed to move forward with the plumbing contract but signaled the question of hours, locks and security would return to a future meeting; the mayor said the project could be completed ahead of spring and the village would include the bathroom item in a flyer and invite public comment at a future meeting.
