Gainesville ISD reviews mid-year MAP and MCLASS screening results; SHAC minutes noted

Dana Dudenhoeffer, Executive Director of Curriculum & Instruction, presented mid-year assessment information to the board on March 10, explaining that MAP Growth is used as a universal screener for grades 3–10 and that MCLASS (including Lectura) and DIBELS are used for grades K–2 to monitor early literacy development.
The board also reviewed minutes from the Student Health Advisory Council meeting on Feb. 20, 2025. Superintendent Dr. Des Stewart reported district enrollment of 3,104 and an average daily attendance rate of 93.33% in his superintendent report earlier in the meeting.
