Canutillo ISD board certifies Nov. 5 election, approves four at-large winners

The Canutillo ISD Board of Trustees canvassed the Nov. 5, 2024 election and approved an order and certificate certifying four at-large winners at a Nov. 19 special meeting. Trustee Mendoza moved to approve the four at-large positions for Armando Rodriguez, Lily Maldonado, Blanca Trout and Carolina Ortega; Trustee Borrego seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to approve it.
Mr. Steve Blanco presented the election results to the board before the motion. The action was recorded as a formal canvass and certification of results; the meeting minutes state the motion was made by Trustee Mendoza and seconded by Mrs. Borrego, with all trustees present voting in favor. The minutes also note the meeting was called to order at 5:49 PM and adjourned at 5:56 PM, and that the minutes were presented for approval to the Board on Dec. 17, 2024.
