Board approves MOU with Angelo State University to offer dual-credit government and economics

The Gatesville ISD Board approved a memorandum of understanding with Angelo State University on Oct. 21 to offer dual-credit courses in government (POLS 2305) and economics (ECON 2301) to seniors beginning in the 2025–26 school year.
Superintendent Barrett Pollard presented the proposal and told trustees ASU would replace the current CTC arrangement for these courses. Each credit hour will cost $50 (a three-hour course totals $150); economically disadvantaged students who qualify for the FAST program can take the courses at no cost. The board approved the MOU by motion from Charles Alderson, seconded by Mary Anne Leib.
