Chief Financial Officer Darrell Frazier reported that the district's Property & Casualty Insurance renewal from Property Casualty Alliance of Texas (PCAT) would increase costs by $113,114 (25.37%) to a total of $559,017 for 2024–25. He recommended renewing PCAT for year three of the district's existing three-year plan.
The board approved the recommendation on a motion by Loyd Hopson, seconded by Charles Alderson. The motion passed with six votes in favor and one absence; no votes opposed.
