Gladewater ISD gets A, scores 100 on state financial rating

Gladewater ISD’s finance chief said the district earned an A rating and a district score of 100 on the 2022–23 Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas report. The presentation was given during a public portion of the Oct. 21 board meeting and drew no formal action from trustees.
“the district had received an A rating with a district score of 100,” CFO Candy Keller reported. The board received Keller’s summary of the FIRST metrics and had no questions that required further action. The report covers the 2022–23 school year and is a routine state accountability report used to summarize district financial performance.
Board President Chris Thompson opened the meeting and the trustees continued with other business, including consent items and campus reports. The FIRST presentation provides context for later financial motions taken during the meeting, including tax refunds and other fiscal authorizations.
