The Galveston Independent School District Board of Trustees posted a public hearing to present its proposed 2025 budget and proposed tax rate for 6:00 p.m. on Jan. 29 in the Board Room at the Lovenberg Administration Building, 3904 Avenue T, Galveston, TX. "The Public Hearing to present the Budget and Proposed Tax Rate will begin at 6:00 pm in the Board Room at the Lovenberg Administration Building, 3904 Avenue T, Galveston, TX," the meeting notice states.
Following the public hearing, the notice says a Special Meeting of the Board will be held immediately to discuss the Budget and Proposed Tax Rate. The agenda makes clear items may be taken out of order and that any final action required after a closed session will occur in open meeting or at a subsequent public meeting. Members of the public wishing to speak were instructed to complete sign-up sheets available in the lobby prior to the start of the meeting.
