The Brightwaters Board of Trustees voted to grant a special-use permit allowing a fresh local market with on-site food preparation and a walk-up ice cream window at 348 North Windsor Avenue. The applicant, David Kush, said the business will sell local produce, eggs and homemade ice cream and that the project had already secured a parking variance from the zoning board of adjustment.
Kush introduced the proposal and invited questions from trustees; an applicant representative said the planned hours are roughly 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Trustees pressed about employee parking and were told staff would avoid parking in limited public spaces. After brief questioning the Chair moved to close the public hearing and "make a motion to grant them a special use permit," which was seconded and approved by voice vote.
