The Brightwaters Board approved a $292,034 payment to a Suffolk vendor for the villages 2025 road program and identified funding sources to cover the expense.
Chair asked for permission to pay the vendor and noted that a portion of the expense will be paid by National Grid and the rest reimbursed through New Yorks CHIPs program. "Permission to pay Suffolk ... for road payment program 2025: $292,034 from the capital account, a portion paid by National Grid, and the other portion to be reimbursed through New York CHIPs," the Chair said; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
Trustees did not record a roll-call tally in the transcript; the board indicated the payment will come from capital funds with CHIPs reimbursement expected. The board also discussed the capital/reserve implications in later budget items as it considers other near-term traffic-calming and maintenance needs.
