District presents 2023–24 annual report and TAPR highlights; NAEP participation announced

Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning Dr. Mina Schnitta provided an overview of the Fort Sam Houston ISD 2023–24 District Annual Report and the components of the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR). The report includes STAAR performance breakdowns, attendance and graduation metrics for recent years, and College, Career & Military Readiness indicators such as SAT/ACT participation and average scores.
Dr. Schnitta said, "50 randomly selected fourth graders will participate in the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) on February 27," and thanked staff who facilitated administration of the assessment. The presentation noted key TAPR figures reported for prior years, including STAAR participation rates, graduation rates and CCMR indicators; the district said the full TAPR and the 2023–24 District Annual Report are posted on the district website and paper copies will be available at the central office and campuses.
The item was presented for public hearing and information; there was no board action required on the report at the meeting.
