Fort Sam Houston ISD board unanimously approves minutes, October financial report and fund balance designations

Secretary Dr. LaToya Sizer made the motion, which Board Member COL Rebecca Zinnante seconded. The minutes were approved without recorded opposition.
The Board also approved the Financial Report for October 2024 as submitted, and authorized the Reservations and Designations of the General Fund Balance after Assistant Superintendent Julie Novak confirmed the district's fund balance would remain healthy despite prior commitments. Novak recalled the August board action to commit fund balances for construction and capital projects and noted that at a September meeting trustees approved moving forward with projects estimated at $5.5 million.
