Fabens ISD schedules Dec. 3 town hall; board moves directors' pay grades after closed session

During its Aug. 20 meeting the Fabens ISD Board set a community town hall for Dec. 3, 2025 at 6:00 PM in the Wildcat Den, agreeing to the date on a motion by Crystal Ramirez and seconded by Julieta S. Ramirez.
Later in the meeting the Board went into closed session under Texas Government Code 551.074 to consider updates on director positions and the superintendent evaluation. Upon reconvening, trustees moved two directors to pay grade #5 (motion by Angel Ornelas; second Benjamin Morales); the motion passed 6–1 with Trustee Greg Spence recorded as voting against. The board also approved using the superintendent-evaluation template discussed in closed session (7–0).
