Goliad ISD hires interim agriculture teacher, accepts five resignations

After an executive session covering personnel matters, the Goliad ISD Board approved recommending the hire of an agriculture teacher for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year and accepted multiple resignations.
Trustee Jason Howard moved to approve the hire and Trustee Daniel San Miguel seconded; the motion carried 7-0. Trustees also voted to accept resignations from Brandy Vaugha, Melissa Cox, Anna Wishkaemper, Gigi Ousley and Martin Juarez (motion by Jason Howard; second by Emika Moya); that motion also carried 7-0.
The district recorded the votes and will proceed with standard HR steps to fill the agriculture position and process the accepted resignations.
