Goliad ISD board approves consent agenda including Code of Conduct update to include SRO role

The Goliad ISD Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda March 3, accepting minutes from the Feb. 10 regular meeting and several administrative updates.
Consent items included (A) approval of Feb. 10, 2025 minutes; (B) approval of school closure pay, per DEA(LOCAL), to hourly staff members for Jan. 21 and Jan. 22, 2025; (C) an amended 2024-2025 Code of Conduct to include the SRO role; and (D) a District Improvement Plan amendment to include a bullying plan. Trustee Jason Howard moved to approve the consent agenda and Trustee Sheila Edwards seconded; the motion carried 7-0.
The Code of Conduct amendment formally adds the School Resource Officer role to district policy language; the bullying plan amendment becomes part of the districts improvement framework as recorded in board minutes.
