Goliad ISD board approves Lone Star Governance update as CCMR reaches 89%

Henke added that recent rule changes affecting how students earn CCMR points make maintaining the metric more difficult.
Trustee Jason Howard moved to approve the Goal 3 progress measures; Sheila Edwards seconded the motion. The motion carried with six votes in favor and one member absent (Yea: Sheila Edwards, Jason Howard, Brandon Huber, Emika Moya, Mac Odem, Justin Youngblood; Absent: Daniel San Miguel). The board’s approval preserves the district’s formal progress monitoring framework for CCMR as staff continues data tracking.
Board members and district staff framed the update as monitoring and compliance rather than adoption of new policy. The presentation included a data snapshot and methodology notes by Henke on how recent state changes affect CCMR calculation; no additional action items were assigned at the meeting.
