Steger board confirms mayoral appointments, administers oaths

Mayor William Joyce announced his list of committee and board appointments for the coming year and the Village Board voted to confirm them at its July 21 meeting.
The appointments included the Water Committee (Steve Thurmond, chair; Gerald Stewart; Allen Maross; Bob Wagner); the Steger USA 250 Committee (Barb Recupito, Tory Recupito, Frank Elton, Cindy Trotier, Star Kaminski, Julie Stone, Lisa Smith); the Police and Fire Board (Patrick Rossi, chair; Dawn Porter; Brittney Stone); the Police Pension Board (Lisa Smith); the Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals (Rusty Brodeur, chair; Carmen Recupito; Dawn Sveningson; Mike Hickey; William Barr; Giovanni Pacelli); and the Business District Development and Redevelopment Commission (Eric Diehl, chair; James Piacentini; Ralph Gazzillo; Thomas Dreixler; Lisa Rodriguez; Julie Stone). The Mayor also named DelGaldo Law Group as corporate counsel, Brian Driscoll as adjudicator, Robinson Engineering as village engineers, and GW and Associates as finance director.
Trustee Joseph Perchinski moved to approve the appointments, Trustee Thomas Thurmond seconded, and a roll-call vote recorded aye votes from Trustees Hanus, Kaminski, Stewart, Thurmond, Trotier and Perchinski. Village Clerk Joseph M. Zagone Jr. administered the oath of office to appointees who were present.
The action formalizes the membership of advisory bodies that advise on water, planning, public safety pensions and downtown redevelopment.
