Commissioners review courthouse leaks, choose awning quote and approve several maintenance purchases

Miller said courthouse windows leaked during a recent rainstorm and the roof at 514 S. Main is also leaking; a contractor will be called to locate points of entry. The board agreed to proceed with an awning quote for 514 S. Main for $6,200 (the minutes note quotes ranged from $6,200 to $16,260.66) and directed submission to the Downtown Review Board. Miller reported drywall work at the Olive Street location should be completed next week and the board approved a temporary monthly cleaning contract with City Wide to replace Veterans staff cleaning for the interim.
Miller reviewed generator and cooling options: Ohio Cat advised the Justice Center generator cannot be converted to natural gas and Miller will pursue alternatives. A service agreement quote for the tower generator was $1,039; a quoted maintenance package for all county generators totaled $5,028. ATR provided cooling quotes for the IT office of $30,912 and $12,875; Miller will seek revised estimates. The board approved new flooring near the communications office (dispatch) and library for $5,500, authorized a replacement water fountain at the Ag Center for $803.02, and approved Streacker Tractor purchases totaling $1,179. Miller also brought initial quotes for a maintenance truck ($78,097 to $85,383) and requested consideration; the board deferred a final decision.
