Board President Amber Moffitt reconvened the Grand Prairie ISD Board of Trustees in open session at 8:59 p.m. on Oct. 2, 2024, following a closed session. Trustee Terry Brooks moved that the board officers be allowed to move forward as discussed in closed session because of violations of the district's Local DIA policy; Trustee Emily Liles seconded the motion. The motion passed 4-2, with one abstention.
