Granbury ISD board upholds two Level II grievance decisions, denies requested relief

The first motion, regarding the timeliness of a grievance received, was made by Trustee Courtney Gore and seconded by Nancy Alana; the board voted to uphold the Level II decision and deny the requested relief. The motion was recorded as passing with six yeas and one absence. Later, a motion by Gore, seconded by Mike Moore, upheld the Level II decision and denied all relief requested in the grievance at GMS, also passing 6–0 (Melanie Graft absent).
The actions followed a Level III grievance hearing that began at 8:40 a.m., during which J. Wark presented and Tammy Clark presented for the administration. The board conducted deliberations in closed session beginning about 9:30 a.m. and reconvened in open session at 10:15 a.m. No personnel recommendation was approved when the board returned to open session.
