The board heard staff recognitions at the Sept. 16 meeting. Mandi Wilson introduced student Jaxson Brightwell for receiving the American FFA Degree, which the minutes describe as the highest honor a FFA member can receive.
The board also recognized Teachers of the Month from each campus: Wendy Gooch at H. O. Whitehurst; Molly Hogan at Enge-Washington Intermediate School; Jackson Newkham at Groesbeck Middle School; and Jenna Jones at Groesbeck High School. The recognitions were presented by campus staff during the meeting; no awards or stipends are noted in the minutes.
