Granbury ISD certifies Nov. 5 trustee election; Tim Bolton and Courtney Gore declared winners

Interim Superintendent Dr. Ann Dixon recommended certification of the returns for Trustee Place 3 and Place 4 and staff presented consolidated county totals: Place 3 — Tim Bolton 17,599 votes, Bret Deason 10,253 votes; Place 4 — Courtney Gore 16,436 votes, Jaci Lopez 11,691 votes. President Barbara Townsend then certified that “the figures on the county returns correspond with the figures on the spreadsheet.”
Superintendent Secretary Davelyn Davis recited the oath of office for the newly elected trustees following certification. The transcript records the oath administration but does not include the verbatim sworn language in full beyond noting the action.
Townsend opened the meeting at 8:02 a.m., noted that “a quorum of board members were present, that the meeting was duly called, and that notice of the meeting was posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551,” and adjourned the meeting at 8:07 a.m. The record notes there were no public comments on any agenda items.
