Board approves multiple contract renewals on consent agenda; policy update pulled
Summary
Trustees approved several procurement items on the consent agenda including renewals for special education equipment (CSP #21-002), transportation equipment (CSP #21-018), award of RFP #24-10 with supplemental vendors through Sept. 30, 2029, extension of RFP #22-001 for disposal of surplus technology and budget amendments; a TASB policy manual update was pulled from consent.
The board approved the consent agenda items that included the final option to renew CSP #21-002 for special education equipment and supplies and reinstating Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land to CSP #21-018 for transportation equipment. The board also approved the original award of RFP #24-010 for contracted services and allowed supplemental vendors to be added through Sept. 30, 2029, as well as the third option to extend RFP #22-001 for disposal of surplus technology items for one additional year. Item No. 5 (TASB Localized Policy Manual Update 123) was pulled from consent for separate consideration.
The minutes record that Trustees Richard Clem and James Campisi moved and seconded the motion approving the listed consent agenda items, and the motion passed with Trustees Tiffany Guy, James Campisi, Howard Sampson and Richard Clem voting in favor. Budget Amendments No. 3–5 were approved and include reallocation of the Dyslexia program budget and carryforward of outstanding encumbrances for the General Fund and the School Nutrition Fund.
