Goliad ISD board sets June 9 public hearing for 2025–26 budget, proposed tax rate

The motion to set the hearing was made by board member Jason Howard and seconded by board member Justin Youngblood. The vote was recorded as unanimous: Sheila Edwards, Jason Howard, Brandon Huber, Emika Moya, Mac Odem, Daniel San Miguel and Justin Youngblood voted "Yea," for a 7'0'00 tally; there were no votes against and no abstentions.
The hearing date provides a formal opportunity for public comment and is a required step in the district's adoption process for its budget and property tax rate. Trustees received the superintendent's scenario presentation earlier in the workshop to inform that decision.
