Georgetown ISD recognizes students and staff; Scholastic Art & Writing medals awarded

The Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees used part of the Sept. 16 meeting to recognize outstanding students and staff. The agenda lists Jack Frost recipients, teachers and team members of the month for August, and named students honored at the district’s high schools.
Scholastic Art & Writing Awards were highlighted: GHS student Amity Wann earned a national medal for photography with a piece titled "Keep Close," and EVHS student Kelechi Okoye received a national medal for a short film titled "The Storm." These recognitions were presented before the board’s informational items and consent action.
