The Sandy City Planning Commission on Aug. 6 determined the preliminary subdivision review for the Radin Summit project at 10250 South Monroe Street is substantially complete and approved the plat with conditions. Staff recommended the finding after the applicant committed to required dedications and easements for Dry Creek and an adjacent public trail.
Mike (staff) told commissioners the preliminary plat splits two parcels into three lots, includes dedications along Centennial Parkway, 102nd South and Monroe Street, and proposes an easement to recognize the realigned Dry Creek channel and the public trail that runs alongside it. The applicant, Ron Radden of Radden Development, described the history of the site and said the team has been working with staff and UDOT on right‑of‑way adjustments.
The commission opened and closed the public hearing with no in‑person speakers and then moved to act. Commissioner (speaker 12) moved that the preliminary subdivision review be found substantially complete and approved based on four findings and three conditions listed in the staff report; the motion was seconded and carried on a roll call vote. The commission’s approval advances the project to final plat review, during which staff will refine the easement delineations for the Dry Creek corridor and the trail as part of final engineering.
