The Laconia Finance Subcommittee opened April 2 and approved the minutes from its Jan. 27, 2026 meeting. Councilor Bogert moved to approve the minutes; Councilor Hoffman seconded, and the motion passed unanimously, 3-0.
The committee spent the remainder of the meeting on the Colonial Theatre management agreement and the planned transfer of the theatre from the Belknap Economic Development Committee to the City of Laconia. Staff were directed to revise the management agreement to reflect advisory-board membership, negotiation language and operational details, and to bring transfer documentation and proposed terms to the City Council during April. Chairman Soucy adjourned the meeting at 6:42 PM.
