The Hallettsville Independent School District board voted unanimously Jan. 13 to extend Dr. Jo Ann Bludau’s contract for one year, with paid unused vacation days. The board met in executive session under Texas Government Code Section 551.074 to evaluate the superintendent and discuss staffing for the 2025–2026 school year before making the motion public.
The motion to extend Dr. Bludau’s contract was made by Holly Cliffe and seconded by Dennis Herring and passed 5-0. The board entered executive session at 6:55 p.m. and reconvened at 7:16 p.m.; the extension was the formal action taken after that closed deliberation.
