After a closed session called under the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Frankston ISD Board of Trustees voted to extend Superintendent Nicci Cooks contract through the 2027—2028 school year. Trustee Dustin Holladay made the motion, Josh Hokit seconded it, and the motion carried 7:0.
The board also approved administrator contracts as presented: Principals Melanie Blackwell, Cindy Owens and Edgar Rodriguez; Assistant Principals Jeff Teague and Melissa Wimmer; Athletic Director Paul Gould; Business Manager Randi Westbrook; and Anderson County Co-op representative Katie Abbott. The board approved employment of contract personnel listed as Mallory Winkler Maddox (as presented) and accepted resignations from Brody Cunningham, Rachael Blackstone, Angela Denman, Jacqueline Davis and Shane Chambless. Notably, the minutes list Rachael Blackstone both as Elementary Staff of the Month for February and as a resignation later in the meeting.
