Fort Bend ISD approves multimillion-dollar construction and services contracts, including Dulles HS/MS renovation

The Board accepted a Construction Services Agreement with Dunhill Development and Construction LLC for Dulles High School and Dulles Middle School renovations (BP028) for a contract lump sum of $15,830,669. Separately, the Board approved a Construction Services Agreement for HVAC MEP West Central 2 renovations and upgrades at multiple campuses with E Contractors USA, LLC for a stipulated lump sum of $10,997,500 and authorized a Job Order Contractor contract not-to-exceed $650,000 to replace a chiller at Hightower High School's central plant.
The consent and individual contract approvals were moved and seconded as recorded in the minutes; several items appeared as part of the consent package or were pulled for discussion and then approved. The Board also authorized an increase of $400,000 to the existing moving services and supplies contract for a revised not-to-exceed total of $1,699,375, and approved expenditures for OEM kitchen equipment parts and preventative maintenance repairs not-to-exceed $770,000.
Votes on the individual contract approvals were recorded in the minutes: most motions carried 6-0, with one recorded 5-1 vote (special event production contract increase). The minutes list the contract amounts and the superintendent's authority to negotiate and execute the agreements as part of the approvals.
