The Highland Park Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved a consent agenda at its Sept. 17, 2024 regular meeting that included authorization to issue unlimited tax refunding bonds not to exceed $122,620,000. Vice President Bryce Benson moved to approve the consent agenda as presented; Board Finance Officer Doug Woodward seconded the motion, which passed without objection.
Other items handled on the consent agenda included acceptance and reporting of gifts to district campuses, human resources reports and addenda, a staff development waiver, approval of district and campus improvement plans, minutes from the Aug. 20 regular meeting and the Sept. 3 work session, a capital improvement request to install a water fountain in the baseball locker room, an update to the broker-dealer list, and approval of the district investment policy. Board Finance Officer Doug Woodward told trustees the proposed bond authorization should not affect the district's AAA rating, and audit findings will be reported at the Nov. 12 work session.
