The Henderson ISD Board of Trustees received the district’s August financial report at its Oct. 14 meeting and heard that revenue exceeded the budgeted amount.
"Revenue exceeded the budgeted amount at $37,791,264.78," Nikki Warner told trustees as she reviewed the August financials. Warner said expenditures as of Oct. 7, 2025, were $37,998,337.13 and that outstanding invoices remain, but the district’s deficit has been reduced to $274,831.76 from the adopted deficit of $1,017,042.
Warner attributed part of the improvement to budget cuts, noting expenditures were about $883,000 less than expected. Trustees did not take action on the report; it was presented for information and discussion. The board also received a related quarterly investment report showing the district’s investments had a market value of $27,807,296.23 as of Aug. 31, 2025, and that the district had realized $1,303,337.28 in interest for fiscal year 2025.
The presentation outlined the composition of operating investments and the debt-service holdings; trustees asked no follow-up questions recorded in the minutes. The board will continue to monitor outstanding invoices and the year‑to‑date budget position at future meetings.
