The council approved multiple consent items and a warrant list tied to the city's new financial software during the Oct. 7 meeting.
The council moved to approve consent calendar items 3, 5 and 6; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. On item 4, staff presented the warrant list dated Sept. 30 and noted this was the first list produced through the new Tyler ERP system; staff and council members discussed training and implementation time invested in the transition. One council member abstained from voting historically on warrant lists until the new system was in place and another councilor moved to approve; the motion was seconded and the vote was unanimous.
City staff said the new system should provide more timely financial reporting in the future and that subsequent warrant lists will be smoother as the implementation continues.
